Yesterday it had been 30 days since my head met up with my dresser. Here is a pic of how the healing is going. You can still see a faint pink mark on my forehead. All in all I'm pretty happy with the progress. I have been applying my Herbal skin healing cream after cleansing in the morning, and my scar relief once in the afternoon and then before bed. My friends and family are amazed how fab it looks. I have only been applying my topical treatments for 20 days. It was a pretty nasty gash.
I have been told by several 20 something adults that a women with a scar on her face is cool.hot and sexy.
When did that happen? When did sustaining trauma to once face and having proof left behind become cool, hot, sexy?
Was that something in the 90's, what did I miss?
I will continue to apply my Joyful Girl potions and be confident that I will have very little or no signs of trauma on my Joyful Girl Face in a short period of time.
Peace
Shelly

Kudos To Those Consistent Bloggers
I have to say I do not know how most of you who are bloggers blog daily! I'm happy you do though! Working from home socializing outside of the house just doesn't happen on a daily basis. I started following blogs regularly back in October. I'm so thankful for all the time and effort you consistent bloggers put into your blogs. It helps me to feel connected to the outside world . I feel connected when I can go read what is going on over at your blogs. Life does go on outside my house. Other mom's are having the same concerns as I do.. Then there is all the links to coupons, giveaways, and freebies. You gotta love that!
I started entering giveaways on blogs in October. I believe the first one I entered was on Ritas blog http://one2try.blogspot.com I believe it was a Butter Bell. Then I was hooked. I decided I would see how many things I could win for Christmas Gifts. The total came to 32 by Christmas. My husband was thrilled as it was a big savings for us.It is so exciting to win isn't it? It doesn't even matter really what the value of the prize is. I won a Sunsweet Prune totebag and coupon for a free sunsweet product. Whooo I was thrilled. Then the Silk Soy Milk giveaway over at http://themombuzz.com
so excited about that one too. So, thank you to all you bloggers who are dedicated to your blogs. You make my day a better one! Please take the time to check out some of my favorite blogs. These are not listed in any particular order.

Chuck Needs Help!
There is always something! Really is there ever peace for one day? I believe maybe for a few minutes we can steal a slice of peace, but a whole day? Not there yet.
My daughter Elizabeth Blahut is the owner of a brilliant pit bull named Chuck. Chuck is 18 mos old. Chuck has always been a source of joy and laughter. I do not think I have ever met a dog like him. He has the ability to fill the room with laughter, and can lift the spirits of anyone who is down. Chuck has been ill for 9 mos now, and $10,000 later there is no diagnosis. My daughter Elizabeth is the shop owner of our line of pet products. Joyful Canine http://www.joyfulcanine.etsy.com She is a pet enthusiast and activist. As of this moment she is looking for a glimmer of hope for Chuck. Chuck has seen approx 9 doctors. Has been to a Naturalpathic Vet, and has been to the Hope center here in Vienna Va looking for answers. After all the diagnostic testing, there are still no answers. Now we are trying to raise money for one more diagnostic test.CSF tap and Joint tap. This will test if the brain fluid or spinal fluid shows any signs of bacteria, re infection. The Joint tap will show if there is any infection in the bones. These are basically the only tests that Have Not been done on Chuck. You can read a little about Chuck's journey http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/chuckthedog if you visit this site and click on journal his medical records are there. Everyday my daughter fears that she will lose Chuck. We are in the process of trying to raise money for the last of the diagnostic testing. We have the Chip in button on the left side bar. If anyone feels compelled to Chip in it would be most appreciated, Even a dollar will make a difference. Maybe you could use some amazing organic pet products and check out Liz's etsy store.
My husband and I have exhausted our savings to pay for some of Chucks hospital stays, Doctor visits etc. Right now my daughter has exhausted herself financially as well. She is an amazing woman herself. She is a single mom, who put herself thru college and worked full time. Never taking a handout from her family or the government. She paid off all her credit cards after graduating college and is a wonderful mom. She now has those paid off credit cards maxed out due to medical bills. She has exhausted all her finances. Many people have been supportive, but there are those who tell her she is crazy. Chuck is a dog, why is she putting herself into debt.
What do you do? This is her baby, Chuck has brought her so much comfort, joy, and happiness. He is apart of the family. Aren't are pets our family members? Do we not give them the love, consideration, and affection we give other family members? I truly believe that if you bring an animal into your home you should be willing to give them the best you can offer them in the way of attention, food, respect and care. Call my daughter and I crazy.... I know there are many many other people who believe this too, you all know who you are... We are passionate about our pets!
Since there hasn't been a diagnosis his illness can't be treated. When he first became ill my daughter like most of us was filled with panic but then felt assured once she got him to the vet that all would be o.k. Vet after vet, test after test, no answers. This just boggles our minds. I even wrote to one of those vets online and paid a small fee to just ask for help. Liz has emailed and reached out to pet rescue centers, teaching hospitals etc in hopes that someone somewhere may have information that could help Chuck. Maybe a teaching hospital would take his case to study, maybe a vet would read the medical records and find the missing link. We are reaching out, we are praying, hoping, wishing for an answer.
Chuck is an amazing dog, he opens the frig when he is hungry (not with approval) He opens sodas when he is thirsty, again not on approval Lol... He has figured out to master the most complex toys(puzzzles) my daughter has purchased for him, he shows you what he needs when you ask the question "Chuck what do you want" He will make you laugh until you pee your pants. One night he sat by the toilet for an hour trying to figure out how to lift up the toilet lid, he finally accomplished this, and with a bark and a few tail wags he went on to other things.
Truly.... I have never seen a dog like him... I know you all must have some great pet stories, please share. We would love to have our spirits lifted.
Please check out the link http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/chuckthedog , share any info you think maybe helpful. It will truly be appreciated. We do not know where to turn at this point.
Much Peace

Crazy Days Crazy Nights Crazy Life
December 30 at 5:00 a.m. I passed out onto my oak dresser. Which resulted in a E.R. visit and 11 stitches in my forehead. Yup lots O fun there. I must say I truly didn't experience any pain with the use of several of my natural remedies and homopathic pellets. I just had my stitches out on Wednesday, and my doctor wasn't to thrilled with the E.R. docs work. Joyful Girl Natural Products will have to heal my wound and keep a scar from forming. I have 100% faith in my creations, as I have seen the results from hundreds of my customers. The docs and nurses at the E.R. told me that I would have a black eye, bruised cheek and bruised chin the next day. I proved them wrong. I applied arnica oil to my forehead, eyelid, cheek, and chin. Every hour on the 5th. I had no bruising. Arnica is amazing for pain relief, inflammation reduction, and bruising. I have a jar infusing at all times.
I will be posting pics of my healing process. As now I can start applying calendula & comfrey root oil to my wound in the morning, and at night I'm applying my scar relief oil.
I had a young woman contact me last year about a wound see received on her face. She had a severe dog bite which resulted in over 16 stitches. I sent her my scar relief oil and after 3 mos of her using it 2xs daily the wound was barely visible. I was able to meet her, and it was a very heart warming experience. Needless to say, I will be applying this to my wound as well.
For pain I did take arnica pellets. Which are available at most health food stores. I have also been using Aconite.Aconite is a homeeopathic medicine used for several conditions. Nerve pain (great for persons to use after root canals) been there too, headaches, reliefs sore and painful joints, great for treating cold and flu symptoms and is also used to treat severe anxiety and nervous excitement. I have been using it to ease anxiety. This works great for me along with my aromatherapy roll on. I'm using ylang ylang, sweet orange and lavender to calm my fried nerves. This is added to organic jojoba oil and I place it in a roll on type bottle. When that awful feeling of anxiousness starts to creep over me, I take the Aconite and apply the roll on to my wrists, neck and a dab under the nose. Then life can continue. I have had a life history of anxiety, depression and panic disorder. One of the big reasons I started Joyful Girl. To heal myself naturally. I have been successful in doing so. I hope to share my past history with those disorders as well as a severe bout with postpartum depression with you all in the future. If can somehow figure out how to blog on a regular basis.
The photo, yes don't I like Joyful? Well this is the day after, and I just wanted you to see that I had no bruising due to the arnica oil. If anyone has any questions regarding anything I have written here please contact me. I'm here to help! Much peace to you all this New Year!
